Lifes Intent

I woke up to a sun shining bright

My heart right now feeling so light

My face all wreathed in smiles

I have really travelled some miles.

I look back and what do I see

A shadow of what used to be me.

Defeatist was what I was called

Over every tiny sad thought I stalled.

I have travelled quite far as I see

Changed my attitude and changed me.

I have a lot of people I have to thank

If not for them I would have sunk

They showed a belief in me so strong

Made me feel I couldnt go wrong.

Then you breezed into my life one day

Swept me off my feet ,took me far away

Carried me to heights I never knew

I never realized how time flew

I still am soaring in the sky so high

Somewhere I thought I couldnt fly

Today I am at peace and am content

And that to me is my life’s intent.

FLUTTERING THOUGHTS

The butterfly fluttering past my face

The wings waving in all its grace

The beautiful hues an array of colors

To match the wonders of the flowers.

Looking around me I sense a peace

As the breeze rustles through the leaves

My thoughts free and soaring high

As I breath fresh air in, with a sigh.

My past sadness I have managed to let go

No longer bothering me or making me low

A fresh lease of life , I searched and sought

After all these years, at this moment I got

Every step of the way nature calmed me

There was so much beauty for one to see

The rugged mountains, the winding streams

Lush green trees ,the morning sun beams.

As I looked around the peace prevailed

Though nothing ever smoothly sailed

So did my mind settle down to a calm

Moving me away from depressions harm .

No matter what life must move on ahead

Why not fill it with happy moments instead

Spread laughter & joyfulness all around

Make it a life worthwhile ,smiles abound !!
