If I were to live just a day
I surely would find a way
To reach and spend it with you
Before I left for an abode so new.
Maybe we could be together
For just a day if not forever
But make it a real beautiful one
One to remember when am gone.
A fantasy that I live each day
One that fulfills me in everyway
For wishing forever seems futile
So just a day with you n all smiles
To make my deepest wishes come true
For what I ask of God is very few
So one day of your life just with me
To know what ecstasy could just be.
i wish i could pray to give you that day, but praying wouldn’t even work!!

I love the mix of desperateness (sorry for not choosing a better word) and reality in this poem. Really well thought and as always well written. The feel of a lover who is teared between his love and the other duties he has to fulfill really appeals to me! I enjoyed it and I smiled at it.
