The windows to your soul

Mirroring your thoughts
Showing all that you feel
Love, anger, sadness ,humor
Every emotion that is real.
They smile before your lips do
Humor tickling your mind,
The icy, hard frozen look
When anger makes you blind.
They open up a world for me
As you gather me in your arm
The love blazing in your gaze
Making my world go so warm.
I adore those beautiful eyes
Melting me with just a glance
Basking in the love they show

A dark unease settles around me
Blinding me, I cannot see
Darkness around me surrounds
The yells, screams ,oh they hound!
The pain, my head splits in two
Feelings dead for i feel a few
A slow painful transition I see
The past few years have drained me
I tried my best, real hard to please
My life yet to see a new lease.
Future looks bleak full of gloom
No fresh flowers just withered bloom.
Strife, struggles, tears & fights
I see no end, there is no light
Exhausted I ask God ‘do you see ?’
I plead please take care of me
I seem to be hanging on to a thin rope
Life, even a single day shows no hope.
Wont you God hold me safe in your hands
Take me with you to faraway lands?
For Lord ,the peace I seek seems far away
My endurance screams ‘NO not another day !!!”

I stand mesmerized by the beauty around
The rain, clean air, the pitter patter sound
Romance surrounds as the mist covers The clean fresh smell of mud still hovers.
We walk hand in hand enjoying the rain
Drops on our face washing away the pain.
The air around breathes life in me anew
My problems seeming so far & very few.
As it begins to rain faster we begin to run
It seems years since we had such fun.
I revel as this wakens the child in me
As I splash through the puddles I see.
Singing to the Beat of the rain on my face
I start to do a dance with every little grace .
For the rain brings in me a sense of happiness
I forget all my weariness & my sadness

The emotion love , beautiful as it is
Takes one to a plane that is sheer bliss
Looking at life with a new set of eyes
Where new outlook, new possibility lies.
A euphoria in me that makes me high,
Lightens me up & makes me fly.
The hidden glances sent my way
Sometimes just seems to make my day
The world looks so much brighter
For love makes my heart lighter.
Thoughts of you make me smile
Radiating warmth along a mile
When love transcends beyond
Positive thoughts it seems to send
Why then we have the hardened cynic
Whose belief in life n love is arsenic
They dispute those in love & its beauty
Putting forward the tenets of duty.
They guard their hearts in cages of anger
Shutting it away afraid of letting it wander
Lonely & disillusioned, that heart refuses to see
What love shows , how it is when its free
The refusal & fear to let it fly high
Reaching limits beyond the sky.
Giving & sharing becomes a distant thought
For alone that heart withers & grows not
To me love is the only emotion that teaches
Touching lives & going beyond ordinary reaches.
Isnt it love that makes the world go around
A more beautiful feeling is yet to be found!!!

The loud voices, they scream & yell at me ,
I close my eyes in despair, why don’t they let me be.
The anger, the hatred, the violence that reflects in your eyes
They condemn , accuse & tear me apart with all those lies.
I look at my image & what I see just shakes me to the core.
Bruised, ravaged, battered & sad I couldn’t see any more.
I came into your life one day with so many special dreams,
I grew up pretty fast for you, just not soon enough it seems.
Every day I wake up asking God for a little bit more today,
The courage to go on in life just doesn’t seem to fade away.
I still see goodness in you, a man who is yet to grow
But I look at me & I wonder can I take any more???

Yes we became friends & it was meant to be.
From when I met you, you never seemed new,
There was always something familiar about you.
In time , with all the twists & turns of fate,
We became friends, you become my best mate.
The bond between us grew so strong,
You fall ill, I know something is wrong.
We have never met, except in a virtual world,
But I found a treasure in you, more precious than gold.
I value every moment I spend with you,
For you teach me to look at life anew.
Every day a talk with you is an inspiration,
The days am a bit disturbed it becomes a desperation.

To the strains of music from a guitar,
My mind wanders on a journey afar.
The flights of fantasy builds some dreams,
A dream so big, a reality it seems.
White clouds, bright skies, laughter & happiness,
No room for tears, hatred, hurt or sadness.
Would there ever be a world as in my dream??
‘Must be joking’ said my mind in a scream.
As long as there lives a devil called human weakness,
You have no choice but to dwell in madness.
If envy, greed, insecurity, jealousy do stand apart,
Anger, fear, depression, all things negative depart…
Your dreams, may come alive & true,
Making your flights of fantasy a reality new.
For dreams , they know no limitations ,no boundaries,
No weaknesses or for that matter, no juries
But for now, wake up to the beat of the rain,
Listen to the music, the guitar strain
